With two trained, knowledgeable instructors on site, both energetic and absolutely dedicated to the careful development of horse and rider, in addition to experienced, compassionate and dedicated grooms, Priestfield West’s staff are one of the facility’s greatest assets.

Jennifer L Hewitt, JLH Dressage

This facility will be greatly augmented by a partnership with Mrs. Jennifer Hewitt of JLH Dressage, who will act as the primary resident trainer and will oversee many aspects of daily facility operation. Jennifer is a specialist dressage instructor with ten years of professional experience, a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences and Equibusiness and an excellent reputation in the field of competitive dressage.

Her qualifications include:

Katherine Minter Dykhouse, Priestfield West

Having attained internationally recognized qualifications awarded by the British Horse Society (BHS) for horse care, management, riding and teaching, Ms. Minter Dykhouse brings ten years of professional teaching and equine management experience to Priestfield West. While specializing predominantly in dressage and stadium jumping, Katie has over 15 years of competitive experience in dressage, stadium jumping, combined training and eventing. While the primary focus of Priestfield West will be the development of dressage horses and riders, there will be many opportunities for those interested in jumping, with specific emphasis on gymnastic exercises to develop both horse and riders balance, coordination and strength.

Larry Hubbard, Assistant Manager

The Person that holds it all together!

Brian Nowak, Owner

While not a horseman per se, Brian has been pivotal in design and development of Priestfield West. His design input has emphasized safety, ergonomics and aesthetics (and electronic gadgets - be warned!) and it has molded the initial concept of "somewhere to ride" into an outstanding boarding facility. He will be responsible for many aspects of maintenance and future facilities development (but "absolutely no cleaning stalls"!) and will be our "objective eye" for any of our new ideas!
